About ASPCA Kids

About the ASPCA®
The ASPCA® (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) was founded in 1866 as the first humane organization in the Western Hemisphere. The Society was formed to alleviate the injustices animals faced then, and we continue to battle cruelty today. Whether it's saving a pet who has been accidentally poisoned, fighting to pass humane laws, rescuing animals from abuse or sharing resources with shelters across the country, we work toward the day in which no animal will live in pain or fear.  Visit www.aspca.org to learn more.

About ASPCA Kids (Formally known as ASPCA Animaland)
ASPCA Kids is the ASPCA's website for children, created by ASPCA humane educators and the ASPCA web team.  Many of the same materials featured on http://www.aspcakids.org/ are also taught in elementary schools throughout the country as part of the ASPCA Humane Education Program.
