ASPCA Pet of the Week: Fish Out of Water
Looking for a playmate by land and sea? Meet Flounder, a five-year-old black-and-white explorer who leaps tall furniture in a single pounce. A water bowl diver, this kitty finds the meaning of life in a good romp, but always knows when to say when.“Flounder’s a tough kitty!” says Margaret McLaughlin, Director of Veterinary Technicians at the ASPCA’s Bergh Memorial Animal Hospital. “He believes he's a dog, and loves to play ball and catch, and snooze in shopping bags. He investigates everyone who comes into my office, and will politely let you know when he is tired of playing with you.”
Though our fun-loving Flounder is playful and charming, he doesn’t much care for the canine kind and would prefer to live in a single cat household. If you’re interested in adopting this feisty feline, please call the ASPCA Animal Placement department at (212) 876-7700, ext. 4120. To see some of our other animals who are waiting for homes, please visit the ASPCA Adoption Center online.
