Going orange for
ASPCA Day this April 10? Great! We’ve planned some exciting events for this special day, which honors the ASPCA’s victories on behalf of animals. Many of these victories resulted from the lifesaving work of our ASPCA Humane Law Enforcement officers, whom you’ve probably seen in action on Animal Planet’s hit series,
Animal Precinct. To learn more about their work, please join us for a talk with ASPCA Supervisory Special Investigator Annemarie Lucas at our
ASPCA Online Community tomorrow, Tuesday, April 8, from noon to 2:00 P.M. EST. Don’t miss this chance to talk to one of the ASPCA’s finest and find out how to
prevent animal cruelty in honor of ASPCA Day!

Annemarie, God Bless you and all your co-workers for the work you do. You are obviously a very strong person. I know personally being an animal lover that if I had your job, I'd be arrested to, because seeing the animal cruelty gets me so angry and depressed that I feeel as though the people who do this should suffer exactly what they have put an animal through. I dont think their punishment is ever enough. But I watch your show and Thank God we have such caring and loving people like yourself out there trying to make a difference. Keep up the awesome work. God Bless. Sandy
hi my name is cyndi. my ph#731-220-3170 and I live in tennessee. I have a question .I recently had two dogs shot to death by a neighbor, who has admitted to doing it. This was for no reason. The dogs were on their own property when they were shot. one dog was on his chain and shot in the face with buckshot and the other through his hip. Phenolphthalein showing blood trails indicated that the dogs were indeed shot on our property and no where else. The trails leaded to where the one dog was found under a porch and also where the other dog was shot on his line. We have statements from neighbors, pictures, video, and autoposy's of the animals. We are waiting for the state to finish their findings to get the report from the vet. I cannot get the local police to get off their behinds and come and investigate this. I need help as to where to turn to in order to move ahead with this and prosecute the guilty parties. Please contact me, I need you help. My phone number is listed above or email me at alaskanmama@msn.com. Any help you can give me I sure would appreciate. Thank you
hi i am christa i have a big love for animals.
Hello Annemarie,
We have a neighbor that gets their children pets every time they turn around. Their are 12 kids, I have personally seen them get these children pets of all kinds, the kids love the pets, but the parents in a day or so get (tired of them or they bark or are tearing up the furniture or are dirty) will leave the animals outside while the children are in school and the animal disappears. We had a cockatrice that they got rid of by throwing it over the fence into my yard, the poor little thing already had a real problem, It had a deformed wing and couldn't fly. My daughter fell in love with it, and it her, it was love at first sight, so she kept it, cared diligently and happily for it. She had it for nearly a year and then it died, I think it died due to neglect and mistreatment, before my daughter got it, the kids had stepped on it's tail and pulled out all of the tail feathers for one, and many other things. They just yesterday got another pet, a parrot, it will not be long before it too will be out. I live right next to them and pretty much know what goes on in that house, if not by seeing, by word from the children themselves. They tell me things without even realizing it I think. My husband is upset because we end up with them trying to get them good homes so they can be happy. How would you handle this, I have personally gone to them and flat out told them in no uncertain terms, that they can go to jail by doing the things they do, as it is considered cruelty to animals. I had one of the older boys explain it to their parents,as they are Russian, and until I was convinced that They knew what was being said. They have gone through 5 dogs , 4 kittens, and like I said the sweetest little cockatrice. Heaven only knows if there were more.
and now this parrot, God bless it.
I am in a quandary however, I don't quite know how to go about protecting this poor bird. The children come visit me all the time as I sculpt and make dolls, and I can't bear to hurt them in any way, I am trying to protect there sensibilities and their wee psychics and at the same time get this parrot out and away from this home. It would be greatly appreciated if you could give me some pointers on how to handle this situation in a manner that will work for all involved. My family and I, never miss one of your programs on the telly, we love you and the hard work you do for the animals that are desperately in need of rescue and TLC. Please be safe and keep up this most valuable and valiant work.
We thank you immeasurably. All in my family are animal lovers, and try to protect those that we can, however we can.

I was watching animal cops on animal planet and I was wondering was there a nationwide database that tracks these people who abuse animals making it harder for them to be able to get another animal?
