Adoption Diaries: Young and Restless
Elyse's Adoption Diary:

Sometimes when a cat talks--you listen! Kelly may only be a tiny kitten, just a couple of months old--but with those vocal cords, she's ready to take the stage at the Metropolitan Opera House. If you dare ignore her cries for attention, beware; she will not give up easily. So why not open her door and give her some cuddling time? She purrs to please. Leave it to a cat to use scare tactics when all she really wants is lovin'!

Whatever happened to kitten season, which occurs later in the year? Seems like this year we have no shortage of kittens at the ASPCA Adoption Center. These three tiny things are Pashmina, Marnier and Rowan. Marnier was the leader; he decided to be brave and jump down first. Not one to be left behind, Pashmina followed suit, piquing Rowan's interest. Rowan, reluctant at first, finally succumbed to peer pressure and joined the others after a few minutes.
This is Mint...he came to us with fractures on his front and hind legs. I've never actually seen a kitty cast before! As badly as I feel for Mint, you've gotta admit, he's pretty darn cute in this cast! Sorry for the shameless plug, but this makes me so proud to be part of the ASPCA; it amazes me that they would provide this surgery for an animal off the street.
Benji recently had a hernia repaired. This hysterical boy is a mush, and let me devour him, but he did ditch me every time someone walked by. He went on barking binges whenever a potential adopter approached! Boy, someone wants to go home!
Tammy instructs us on how to hunt, kill and consume a feather...
