Live, Online Expert Chat on Dog Behavior Tomorrow

My dog is friendly with all dogs we meet on our daily walks, but there’s one perfectly nice poodle he always growls at. What gives?

Why does my dog eat her food so fast? You’d think we were starving her!

What makes your dog tick? (Besides ticks.) Why does he behave like, well, a dog? You probably have lots of questions about your canine’s crazy behavior. Joining us with answers is Trish McMillan, ASPCA Senior Manager, Animal Behavior, who will be hosting a live online chat -- tomorrow!
To ask McMillan about your dog’s behavior, log in to our brand new ASPCA Online Community next tomorrow, Friday, October 19, between noon and 2:00 P.M. EST.

I have a 3 year old Yorkie-Poo named Ditto. He loves bigger dogs and cats and walking him with other pets around is no problem. But he is very protective about strange people, particularly if they come up behind us when walking, even if he knows them. He is very agressive with snarling and nipping but luclily has not bitten anyone......yet. I live alone and am not fearful taking him out in the dark. What could have sparked this behavior?

I just sent a comment about my Yorkie-Poo Ditto. I hope someone has a suggestion and/or a solution. He really is a good little guy......most of the time.

Its weird, my dog Angel will stand on our deck for hours and "hunt" bees. She watches them, then when they come close she snapps at them. she has gotten stung on the lip, but Im afraid she'll get stung inside her mouth or her throat if she swallows one. Her weird obsession kinda worries me.

My cat chewed off it's own penis. Should I take it to the animal doctor?

I know that the online chat happened quite along time ago but I am desperate.

I have a 7 month old mix with german shepherd who was a stray.
We found him on the street when he was about 6 weeks old and took him to the vet had a checkup he was found in perfect health and is a great dog.
Latly he has become VERY over defensive though and his agresion is beginning to scare my older mom.
I have no idea what to do...he is not an aggresive dog I know he is just defending the ppl that he loves but he's getting dangerous for anyone who comes in our yard or trys to shake our hand when he's on a walk.
pls help.
