Have You Hugged Your Vet Tech Lately?

Animal clinics and veterinary students across the country are celebrating National Veterinary Technician Week this week. Officially designated by the North American Veterinary Technician Association (NAVTA) in 1993, the annual event was organized to educate the public about these vital members of the veterinary medical team and provide a forum for vet techs to salute each another for their good work.

Visit NAVTA's official site, http://www.navta.net/, for more on these animal-care dynamos.
If you're interested in being a vet tech, check out NAVTA's career page.

I am the proud mom to my three large breed rescued dogs next year will be four, I'm also a supporter for the ASPCA and think the job they do is grand and of great value to the animal welfare, the reason I'm writing this note is because I'm not sure what to do and I'm so angry and find it sick and of greatly disturbing, I was going thrue the the tv channels/tv gide and it was one of those free preview weekends and came across a movie playing on SBLCK channel and was shocked to see what they were playing for all to see, the name of the movie wa Ghetto dawgs 2 and there was a long scene of dog fighting, I coundn't bare to watch so I changed channels quick and checked back at least 3 times and the fighting was still going on and very graffic, I'm not sure how can anyone produce such evil, and deranged material in the movie world for viewers to see, and my only hope and thoughts is that these individuals who created such movies and practice this and other cruel activities and call them sport wether they use children, animals or any other venue for their sport is my wish that they all ROTT IN HELL.
Anyway I will never, ever understand cruelty nor abuse in any form but I think the law should get more involved in this matter as cruelty create criminals and inhumane actions.
thank you
an aspca supporter

Every time I see your show it makes me cry because animals deserve to be taken care of and not beaten throw out to live on their own. I cant beleive that anyone would do such a thing to these animals. They dont deserve to be treated the way some people treat their animals. I have a pitbull and his name is jounier and if something happened to him or someone came over and killed my dog I would want him to pay for what they did. I think that the law needs to put them people in jail. If any one beats, kills, ect there must be something wrong with them because that is just cruel.
