ASPCA REVEALS ACTIVE ROLE IN MICHAEL VICK INVESTIGATION

Yesterday the ASPCA revealed that it is currently assisting in the federal investigation against Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick and three other individuals, who were indicted on July 17 by a federal grand jury in a Virginia dog fighting venture.

At this time, the ASPCA cannot offer any additional details in order to protect the integrity of this investigation and the ongoing criminal process.

For more information on the ASPCA, or to learn more about staying alert to animal cruelty, please visit the ASPCA anti-cruelty resource center.

I believe Mr vick's should pay for his part in these inhumane dos fight's.and I do believe he should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. I hope he does not get away with any of this because he is a football star. And I do believe he should get more than 6 yrs. I have been so upset since I heard about all this. If it was up to me i would charge him with 1 count for evevry dog they find. I just hope everyone will speak up for these animal's.

I Believe Mr. Micheal Vicks Should be responible for his actions. I don't understand how people can treat animal's the way they do. It's not right. It upset's me when I hear people abusing animal's. I often wonder would they treat their children that way. But I do believe Mr. Vick's should go to prison for more than six year's. I've been so upset since I heard about this. I think I Love animal's more than I do people.

Thank you so much for your partici pation in helping to bring justice to all the animals that this person was able to abuse for so long.

All that money and he couldn't think of anything better to do with it??? As a public figure, his conviction will do much to promote justice for all animals by bringing the law into full focus.

Thank you so much.

I am in total support of ASPCA offering their support and services to prosecute those guilty in this case. The high profile of those involved and they money they have to fight the charges needs to be countered so that these individuals can be used as an example - and they should PAY THE FULL PENALTY PLUS and the prosecutors should take this opportunity to make an example of them and set a legal precedent which will protect innocent animals in the future.

The actions of this so-called "HUMAN" is beyond repulsive. Those
that represent/endorse items like yours should set an
example...keeping him aboard would like be representing "Hitler"
for the canines! He should be stripped of all his earnings from
this game and anything that he benefits should be donated to animals. He should never be allowed to play football again. His earnings should go all to
a)rescue this 52 pitbulls and b) to animal rescue causes. He
should go to jail not for 3 months, 6ths months, etc...for a
substantial time...5 years MIN (which isn't even enough)...no parole and on top of that
must do 2 years community service for animals. People who say dogs are JUST animals just don't get it. To hurt an innocent animal without a care in the world easily can translate to abuse in other areas...children, wives, etc. Serial killers are known to start with animals. Get this SOB where it really hurts....do a Tanya Harding...and get him to NEVER play football again. You would be foolish to keep him on the team. If you have animals, you undertand me completely. I pray to God this bastard gets what he so rightly deserves..the dogs never had a chance.

If there is anything more distressing than to hear that this practice continues, it is to hear that these poor dogs will almost certainly be euthanized. Why do we execute the victims and sentence the abuser to a few years in prison (at most)??? It should be the other way around: let's rehabilitate the dogs and execute (or sentence to life in prison) the perpetrators. And order the perpetrators to pay all costs associated with the care and rehabilitation of these dogs. Finally, why isn't the ASPCA speaking out on this and advocating for legislation to do precisely this for these animal victims?

ARRGGGGGG! I just heard the news about what football "star" michael vick did to all those poor animals. and he didn't just do it for money or drugs, he did it for pleasure. what is wrong with him, does he really think that he can get out of this unscarred? what makes me even madder is that some young boys who see something in michael vick(i don't know what), or all football "stars" will think that being cruel to animals and pets is "cool" when it's really wrong. michael vick should be punished and treated like any other animal abuser. he should get triple punishment in fact, because of what he did to those poor dogs. it is just so horrible what some dogs had to go through, and just to please michael vick.

I would hope no coach would have Vick on his team ever, even overseas. I hope his carrer is dead just like the animal he tortured. Our Justice system, what a joke, folks it's plain ole people like you and I that speak for those who can't. I live in a small town in New Mexico where dumping animals and puppies is an everyday occurance. Here you have to pass a back ground check both police and sheriffs dept. to even volunteer at a shelter. I think this is an awesome step to keep abusers OUT of shelters, if you abuse an animal you'll abuse a child, then you'll grow up to be Ted Bundy, and man did he get what he deserved. I don't think God would have had Noah build an Ark if he didn't think animals were a cricial factor in human lives (i.e. law enforcement agents, and companship for our elderly people in nursing homes, sick children in hospitals etc.) I have rescued animals for 43 yrs. The reason Vick got such lite charges was think about this, drunk drivers keep driving over, and over, and over. Why? because the judges are drunks. Like I said I am in New Mexico where i can't even find our animal abuse laws although the first child abuse case was based on animal cruelity laws. I'm willing to protest for stiffer fines and jail time, go undercover if needed to prove a case. I abhore animal abuser, so let's everybody gather together and rally for stiffer laws more jail time, and lot of money doubled for the rich!!!Feel free to e-mail me and let's get a NewRebellion started, like Steve Irvin did worldwide for crocs, God rest his soul! don't know about you but I'm tired of sitting back and just hoping the Justice system will work! Let's rally together, like I said I'm in New Mexico, and can go to the Roundhouse in Sante FE to lobby, anyone near New Mexico can come, I have to find out the laws and when the congress meets etc. but I'll spend my last breath doing it! Rally, let's get started wherever you live. Let's get the
ASPCA to help. I have supported the ASPCA in my married name and divorced name a long time. Let's go to work. Feel free to e-mail me at melmay52@yahoo.com and put our brains together and get goin! God Bless you all!

I think Vick should go to prison for 5 years and not be able to play for the NFL or any others again. He is suppose to be a role model for his fans. If he truly was sincere he would have admitted it immediately. Also, if he was a good person he NEVER would have been involved in this. People like this who say they are Christians and do such cruel things are lying. God created ALL!

I think Micheal Vick and any other dog fighters should be killed the same way as they killed those innocent dogs. they should be put in a cage and forced to be fight one another then after that they should be electrocuted, beat, and killed. he is not sorry that he fought and killed the dogs, he is only sorry that he got caught doing it. Those dogs did not asked to be put in that situation but they are the only ones in this case who are suffering the consequences. Vick is useless to anyone because he is so much of a coward that he had to make himself look manly by abusing and fighting pit bulls. As it is everyone already believes that pit bulls are dangerous and uncontrollable, but it is stupid, irresponsible people like Vick who cause these inaccurate accusations on the breed. A chihuahua or golden retriever or lab could be just as viscous if it was trained to fight. people only see evil in pit bulls. if a pit bull is trained correctly and is not abused it is the perfect pet for a family. i have 3 pit bulls and none of them are even the slightest bit viscous because they were raised in a loving environment. Vick is a good for nothing waste of space in the jail.
