And the latest "response" by Iams/P&G is to automatically disconnect anyone who tries to call the 800 number and to disable the send email option. Sure they care...about their bottom line. They could give a shit about how many of people's pets they've killed due to their negligence.
I give my cat purina thats all hea eats but I didnt buy it at walmart what should I do?

How odd, I got an immediate response to my emails to Iams.
I feed my companions dry foods, but I wanted to be sure it was safe.
Perhaps they are so overwhelmed right now by requests for info that their system shut down?
Just a thought, as I would also be terribly upset if I thought they were avoiding pet owner's concerns.

I'm so nervous with all this dog food stuff going . What the hell am i to do with feeding my to dogs who In love and care for so much??????????? Do I give them pedigree or alpo being that they only eat dry food. They won't even touch canned food. What AM I TO DO?????????????
Pjfol,
I don't know if this will help.
But here is the email address that I used:
Customer.Service@Iams.Com
It took a little while for them to answer, but they did.
Anonymous, the DRY food is okay.
It is just certain canned and pouch foods that are tainted.
And those canned and pouch foods are ones made by Menu Foods.
Follow the links provided by the ASPCA here, and check out which ones are bad.
I don't feed mine canned or pouch foods, either.

Just make extras of your dinner and serve a serving or two to your pets. Make sure to not give them chocalate, anything they are allergic to or anything (mainly dogs) will just spit out and make a mess. You might want to stay away from fruits and vegis, or at least a lot.
Before giving your animal companions human food, please check on the ASPCA site for things that are not good for them.
Such as onions, chocolate, etc.
maybe the link is in pet nutrition?
This tainted food may not be a recent thing...
Our cat had been vomiting, sometimes severely, since 2001, maybe earlier. A vet in 2001-2002 said it had to be diet. We changed dry food, but didnt suspect the Wal Mart canned food as the cat only received small amounts.
Two months ago, I stopped giving her the Wal Mart food, no sickness since.
I emailed Wal Mart Cust Svc over a month ago, they responded once for details, then disappeared.
I tried Emailing NY FDA last week to tell them their findings were in error, they refused to discuss it with me.
FDA has refused to return my calls.
Yes, its a conspiracy to cover corporate asses.
