The ASPCA Loves Ellen DeGeneres!
A huge thank you goes out to animal lover/comedienne/all-around awesome person Ellen DeGeneres. A $25,000 contribution to the ASPCA was made by the United States Tennis Association on her behalf for her participation in Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day on August 26. The talk show host served as the chair umpire during the event, and also got to practice her backhand with Serena Williams, Andre Agassi, Steffi Graf and Andy Roddick. Thank you, Ellen, for always thinking of us—and of the animals we work to protect. What an ace!

Ellen, I know it was your love for animals that prompted you to find another home for the little dog you are being criticized about. The adoption agency has forgotten its mission which should be to find a loving home for their animals. Sometimes, the fit just isn't there but you did the right thing for all concerned. Never "you got it, you keep it".
