Your Disaster Relief Dollars at Work

The Humane Society of South Mississippi (HSSM) celebrated the opening of its new, state-of-the-art shelter on Friday and Saturday, May 19 and 20. Friday night kicked off with a donor appreciation party to celebrate the people who made this dream a reality, and to invite them to continue to live this sweet dream. Capital Campaign chair Eric Aschaffenburg was recognized for his valiant efforts and dedication.

On Saturday, HSSM announced the move into the new facility in downtown Gulfport. The Grand Opening was full of fun, families, children, food, drinks and beautiful animals—and the weather was gorgeous! There was face painting, banister painting, shelter tours, special time with the animals, balloons, and arts and crafts.
