Texas Residents: Help Fund Statewide Spay/Neuter Programs!
The money for the statewide spay/neuter program comes from the sale of Animal Friendly Specialty License Plates. The fee for an Animal Friendly Plate is $30, of which $22 is earmarked for appropriation to the Animal Friendly Fund administered by the Texas DSHS for distribution to non-profit groups for low- and no-cost spay/neuter programs.
Unfortunately, the money stays in the GR Account until the Texas Legislature appropriates (moves) money from it over to the Animal Friendly Fund at the request of DSHS.
Please click here to ask the Texas DSHS to seek the maximum appropriation from the General Revenue Account to the Animal Friendly Fund!

We need this money to go to the Statewide Spay/Neuter Programs! There are a lot of animals here at Fort Hood, Tx that need neutering! We love our animals, but sometimes we can't afford the vet bills! Neutering is very costly and there are many of us that can't afford it for our pets! Sincerely, Donna A.
