Become a Registered Rescuer

The ASPCA is proud to have cultivated relationships with over 100 animal rescuers and shelters in New York City. Animal rescuers are vital to the welfare of animals in New York City and the ASPCA has tailored a program to accommodate the varying needs of rescuers and the animals they serve. If you would like to be a registered rescuer with the ASPCA, please download our rescue agreement (pdf), and return a signed copy to:

Once you are a registered rescuer with the ASPCA, you may:

1. Reserve the mobile clinic for spay/neuter and vaccinations

If you have 15-20 animals, you may reserve the mobile clinic to come directly to your location for spay/neuter. Contact the Call Center at (877) SPAY-NYC to reserve the clinic. If you are reserving the clinic for ferals, you must take the Neighborhood Cats TNR workshop. Please contact Neighborhood Cats at http://www.neighborhoodcats.org/ or at 212-662-5761 to register for the workshop. You must also secure a recovery space for the trapped cats. If you have fewer than 15 animals, you may contact the Call Center at (877)SPAY-NYC to reserve an appointment on a designated Rescue Day (note that these are not the days publicized on our hotline or website). You'll need to bring your animals to the location of the mobile clinic on that day.

2. Borrow humane cat and dog traps.
