In May 2011, the ASPCA took another progressive step in addressing pet homelessness with the opening of a dedicated spay/neuter clinic in Ridgewood, Queens, for animals managed by local rescuers and humane organizations. The clinic is an interim facility that will operate through 2012, when we expect to complete construction of a permanent spay/neuter clinic at our Manhattan headquarters.
The new facility is outfitted with modern top-quality medical equipment and staffed with expert medical and administrative personnel. The clinic accepts admissions from qualified animal rescuers, and works in tandem with our transport services, which provide free rides to spay/neuter candidates including feral cats and qualified animals from local rescue groups.
Schedule for ASPCA Transport to ASPCA Clinic: Pickup is Tuesday-Friday, 7:00 A.M.; return is Wednesday-Friday, 11:00 A.M.-noon; Saturday, 9:00-10:00 A.M.
Schedule for Admission at ASPCA Clinic via Self-Transport: Admission is Tuesday-Saturday at 7:00 A.M. Discharge is Tuesday-Saturday at 5 P.M.
Cost: $5 per cat, $10 per dog. Includes rabies vaccine, tattoo and ear-tipping for feral cats. Cancellation fees may apply; please refer to the Terms of Use document for rescuers. Bulk discounts include 20% off appointment fees for rescuers who bring more than 25 animals per month.

The ASPCA is proud to have cultivated relationships with more than 100 animal rescuers and shelters in New York City. Animal rescuers are vital to the welfare of animals in New York City, and the ASPCA has tailored a program to accommodate the varying needs of rescuers and the animals they serve. Once you are a registered rescuer with the ASPCA you may make an appointment at our Stationary Spay/Neuter Clinic by calling (877) SPAY-NYC. Our calling center hours are:
- Monday - Friday: 3:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M
- Saturday: 10:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M.
- Closed on Sundays
