Event Ideas

There are countless ways to help the ASPCA fight animal cruelty and find permanent, loving homes for America’s adoptable pets. The sky is the limit in the ways that you can work with your family, friends and community to make this world a better place for our animal friends. Here are some ideas...

  • Organize a neighborhood Dog Walk or Pet Parade.
  • Rent your favorite animal movie and host a movie night.
  • Hold an adoptions event with your local shelter.
  • Get crafty! Have a craft sale.
  • Bake some goodies and hold a bake sale.
  • Participate in a marathon, bikeathon, walkathon or hike and ask friends and family to sponsor your efforts on behalf of the ASPCA.
  • Throw an event for your school, Girl Scout or Boy Scout troop, sports team, religious institution or company.
  • Clean out your clutter and have a yard sale.
  • Organize a benefit rock show for the ASPCA.
  • Ask local businesses to donate products and host an auction.
  • Host a party at your local bar or club and ask them to donate the cover charge to the ASPCA.
  • Hold a dress-down day at your school or company and ask people to contribute a dollar amount to participate.

ASPCA Ambassador Experiences

I appreciated the opportunity to utilize ASPCA's Ambassador Program to help me organize an event in my community to raise awareness for the ASPCA’s mission of fighting animal cruelty. We had a wonderful dog walk that ended with a raffle and goodie bags for the pets and their parents. It was amazing to see the hard work and commitment from everyone involved that helped make this event a success and we’re excited to begin planning our next Ambassador event!"

"I wanted to help support the good work of "animal cops" across America. I have been watching the show with my Mom for years and I'm proud to be part of an organization like the ASPCA". I go to our Farmer's Market almost every Saturday and I bring my dog Daisy and my two guinea pigs. Lots of kids and adults stop by my table to pet my animals and buy my cookies. My animals have really helped me raise money for animals in need and I think that's great!"
