ASPCA Ambassador Events

From coast to coast, animal lovers across the country sported orange and gathered in support of April as Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month. Check out all the fun from NYC, Austin, LA and beyond!

Austin, Texas (April 18)
On April 18th, Lone Star State pet-lovers joined the ASPCA in Austin's Zilker Park to participate in the ASPCA's first annual Austin ‘Wag-n-Walk’ one mile dog walk. Hundreds of devoted pet parents and animal lovers joined the ASPCA to raise awareness for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals month a shine a light on the efforts of animal welfare groups in Austin and around the country.  Special thanks to all walkers (both the two and four-legged kind) , to our Austin Mission: Orange Partners:  Town Lake Animal Center,  Austin Humane Society, Animal Trustees of Austin and Emancipet, to Delta Spirit, Mayor Wynn, Kinky Friedman, Dr. Kimberly Bodner, Highbeam Entertainment and all the vendors, volunteers and pet-lovers who made this day a success.  We are deeply grateful for everyone's participation and we look forward to next year's "Go Orange for Animals" "Wag-n-Walk'. Los Angeles, California (April 25)
On April 25th West Coast pet-lovers joined the ASPCA in Venice Beach, Los Angeles to participate in the ASPCA’s first annual Los Angeles ‘Wag-n-Walk’ 1.5 mile dog walk.  Hundreds of California pet-lovers and their four-legged counterparts descended on Venice

Beach to raise awareness for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals month and support the efforts of the ASPCA.  Big thanks to everyone who came out to be a voice for animals and make this event a success including: all walkers (both the two and four-legged kind), Bark Avenue Foundation (who found new homes for eight dogs at the event!), KOST, KTLK, Karen Sharp, Stephanie Miller, Overland Entertainment, Capers
