“Max”imum Security
“When I lost my cat to renal failure,” Robin Stein-Corivano remembers, “the loneliness was unbearable.” Feeling ready to open her heart and home to a new pet, Robin took a trip to her local shelter.
“I had browsed all the cats and kittens, but kept coming back to one in particular—a beautiful tabby!” Robin tells us. Unfortunately, the cat in question was scheduled to be euthanized that very day. Since he was about 1 1/2 years old, Robin was concerned that he wasn't as likely to get adopted as the cute little kittens were. “So there I was, taking him out of his cage and welcoming him into his new home.”
That was more than 15 years ago. “Max is 17 now, and he has a great life,” reports Robin. “He has, without a doubt, won my heart over time and time again.”
