If you live in Charleston County, there are plenty of opportunities to help homeless pets! Check out our partner agencies and their current needs.
 

Charleston Animal Society (CAS)

CAS is looking for volunteers (ages 18 and up) to help in a variety of roles from hands-on animal care to fundraising assistance. Current needs include:

  • Offsite Adoption Counselors to assist with the care of the animals, public outreach and adoptions.
  • Fundraising Assistants to attend special events and help with set up, breakdown and event activities.
  • Cat/Kitten Room Volunteers to clean cages, socialize and groom cats and kittens.
  • Education Program Representatives to assist with school education sessions, outreach events and summer camp.

CAS also welcomes donations of the following items:

  • Toys for the animal enrichment program
  • Gift cards
  • Elevated dog beds
  • Hot dogs and individually wrapped cheese slices for medications
  • Cat litter
