ASPCA $100K Challenge Photo & Success Story Contest

Have you adopted or fostered an animal from one of our $100K Challenge contestant shelters during the months of the Challenge? Have you volunteered for a contestant during the Challenge? Or perhaps you were reunited with your pet at a Challenge shelter? If so, we want to hear your story! Submit a photo and brief overview of your experience, and you could help your local shelter win a $1,000 grant.

After an ASPCA jury selects 20 finalists�97;who will each receive a special prize�97;the public will vote for six grand prize winners. The participating Challenge shelters of those six winners will each win a $1,000 grant! Anyone who has adopted, fostered, volunteered, or reclaimed an animal at a Challenge shelter during the months of August, September, or October 2010 is eligible to enter. Deadline for entries is November 14 at midnight EST, and winners will be announced by December 7.

Rules:

  • No purchase necessary
  • Must be 18 or older to enter.
  • This contest is void where prohibited and is limited to legal U. S. residents; ASPCA employees and their families are not eligible to enter.
  • Entries are subject to the ASPCA�2019;s privacy policy located at

  • Submission deadline is midnight Eastern Time on November 14, 2010.
  • You may enter as many submissions as you like; however, you must complete all information for each entry.
  • Up to twenty finalists will be chosen by a panel of ASPCA judges based on the aesthetic quality of their photo submission and how compellingly their story demonstrates the $100K Challenge�2019;s mission to save lives.
  • The judges will select no more than 3 finalists from any one participating shelter.
  • Six grand prize winners will be announced on the contest webpage by December 7, 2010. No more than 1 grand prize winner will be selected from any participating shelter. Grand prize winners will be chosen by a vote that will be conducted on the contest webpage and will be based on the aesthetic quality of their photo submission and how compellingly their story demonstrates the Challenge�2019;s mission to save lives. Voting will be open to the public.
  • The judges�2019; decisions in the selection of the finalists and the voters�2019; decision in the selection of the grand prize winners are final. All judgments are in the sole discretion of the ASPCA.
  • Your entry must include your name, mailing address, daytime telephone number, a valid email address, shelter name, animal name (if applicable), 1 jpg photo file, and answers to all questions. Incomplete entries will not be considered. Entries become the property of the ASPCA and will not be returned.
  • Photo submissions should include only images of you and pets owned by you or by the participating shelter.
  • Any submission chosen as a finalist is subject to approval by the entrant�2019;s participating shelter. Any submission not approved by the participating shelter will be disqualified from the final round of the contest and will be ineligible for the grand prize selections.
  • Finalists will be announced on the ASPCA website by November 19, 2010.
  • 20 finalists will receive an ASPCA T-shirt. Six grand prize winners will win a $1,000 grant for their shelter. The contestant understands and agrees that if he or she is chosen as a grand prize winner, he or she will not receive $1,000, and the $1,000 prize will be awarded to the shelter indicated on the contestant�2019;s application. The grand prize winner will receive one ASPCA-branded aluminum water bottle or an item of similar value.
  • By submitting your text/photo in this contest, you give the ASPCA an irrevocable, perpetual royalty-free right to use your name/text/photo for any purposes to promote the ASPCA�2019;s mission of providing effective means for the prevention of cruelty to animals throughout the United States.
  • By entering this contest, you are confirming that you are at least 18 years of age, the sole owner of the photograph submitted, and author of the text contained in Items 2 and 3 of your entry.
  • All local, state and federal taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner.
  • This contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
