ASPCA Selected for Subaru's 3rd Annual 'Share The Love' Event

December 21, 2010

NEW YORK-The ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) today announced that it has been selected by Subaru of America, Inc. for its third annual 'Share the Love' event, now underway.

During the 'Share the Love' event - which will run through January 3, 2011 - Subaru will donate $250 for every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased to the customer's choice of one of five charities, including the ASPCA.

"Especially during the holiday season, it is heartwarming to be on the receiving end of such generosity," said Elysia Howard, ASPCA vice president of Marketing & Licensing. "Subaru customers who select the ASPCA as their charity of choice can feel good knowing that this donation will help us continue the life-saving work we do each day."

"Over the last two years, Subaru of America, Inc. is proud to have donated nearly $10 million to five great charities," said Tim Mahoney, senior vice president and Chief Marketing Officer, Subaru of America, Inc. "Our customers inspired us to create this program to help give back to the community, and we remain committed to helping those charities that they believe in the most."

In addition to the ASPCA, customers can choose to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, Habitat for Humanity, Meals On Wheels Association of America, or Ocean Conservancy.
