Partnership Community Vehicles

In an effort to support the life-saving work of ASPCA partner communities, Subaru has generously provided use of six new colorfully wrapped, co-branded vehicles to support local animal welfare efforts. In addition to supporting welfare groups’ everyday transportation needs, these vehicles will help the organizations save lives through adoption events with local dealers and participation in large-scale, pet-related community events.

Hundreds of Subaru dealers have partnered with selected animal welfare organizations. Here are just some of the successful activities in these communities in 2010.

Mastro Subaru has hosted 10 adoption events featuring the Humane Society of Tampa Bay’s Mobile Adoption Unit, resulting in approximately 80 adoptions in 2010!

Mastro Subaru has also found other avenues to promote exposure for the vehicle. The dealership participated in the 2010 Tampa Pet Adoption Expos, which resulted in more than 750 adoptions. In addition to countless other activities, the Humane Society of Tampa Bay has taken the Subaru to numerous Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tampa Bay Lightning games.

Charleston Animal Society featured its ASPCA/Subaru partnership at more than 40 events this year! For example, Charleston Animal Society drove its vehicle in the Annual St. Patrick's Day Party and Parade, spreading the word to more than 35,000 people about its programs, services and adoptable animals, as well as highlighting the support it receives from Subaru of Charleston.

Austin Subaru and Subaru Georgetown invited ASPCA partner Emancipet to feature its life-saving work at several University of Texas homes games last fall. Emancipet was able to distribute literature and promote spay/neuter to a crowd of 85,000-100,000 per game! During one special halftime, Subaru and the ASPCA presented Emancipet with a check for $7,500.

Collaborating with two separate dealers—Appleway Subaru and Camp Subaru—SpokAnimal held two very successful adoption events this past holiday season, resulting in more than 50 animals finding new homes!
