The ASPCA is honored to have been chosen as one of 49 charities to participate in Members Project, an exciting new promotion from American Express. It launched in March on www.takepart.com the social action network that supported ground breaking films like Oscar-winners The Cove and An Inconvenient Truth, and Oscar-nominee Food Inc.-- to drive citizen engagement and activism on countless social issues. They are putting a lot of media support behind the program including advertising during "Lost," "24," "American Idol" and "Today," as well as online via Yahoo, Hulu and The New York Times.
A prize of $200,000 will be awarded to the top vote-getter in each of five categories. Competing in the environment and wildlife category, the ASPCA will be facing some tough competition from the likes of Global Green USA, The Nature Conservancy, Charity: Water, Oceana, The Jane Goodall Institute, NRDC, Sierra Club and Wildlife Conservation Society.
So, here's our chance to vote to make a difference for animals in need and help the ASPCA win $200,000! We need all the votes we can get every week through May 24 - it's that simple! Visit www.takepart.com/membersproject to register and vote now, and don't forget to return to vote each week. Check out the downloadable postcard and banners by visiting www.takepart.com/membersproject/spread-the-word and send them to everyone you know by email, Facebook and Twitter.
Thank you for your participation and support!
