The Global Pet Expo, held this year in Orlando, Florida, from March 16 through 18, featured more than 800 vendors and upwards of 3,000 brand-new products—ranging from the highly useful to the positively kooky.
The vendors who gathered in Orlando for the pet product industry’s biggest convention promised innovative products for pet parents. At least two doggie treadmills were on display, and participants touted several handy methods for poop-scooping and mess-reducing.
But other products, msnbc.com reports, were less function, more fun. Animal Planet showcased its new line of clothing for animals that includes dinosaur costumes and a Katy Perry get-up. A company called Pet Pop showed off its new beverage for dogs—multicolored Australian spring water that’s a dead ringer for soda. And while the Pup-Casso Art Kit promises to unleash your pet’s inner “Mutt-ise or Dali-mation” via a mess-free finger-painting toy, the R2 Fish School claims it can train your fish to score a soccer goal.
