Chicago Dog Fighting Ring Busted During Fight

dog Two men were arrested earlier this month after Chicago authorities busted a dog fight in progress, ABC News Chicago reported.

On March 18, Earl Johnson, 31, attempted to flee arrest by jumping out the window of his home, but was later apprehended and charged with felony dog fighting and providing a place for dog fighting, the network said. Toriano Watson, 38, was charged with attending a dog fight, according to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office.

An undercover officer of the Cook County Sheriff’s Police Animal Crimes Unit attended the event in Johnson’s basement apartment, the network reported, and signaled the arrest team outside as soon as the fight began.

According to Cook County, Johnson was ordered held on $100,000 bond, and Watson's bond was set at $50,000.
