Cat Found in Dumpster at Nebraska Shooting Range

April 05,2011

cat Nebraska police are looking for the person who put a cat in a Dumpster at a shooting range, Omaha’s KETV reports. Trap shooters discovered her at 8:00 P.M. on March 30 with a dumped-out bag of kitty litter.

“The cat had no food, no way of getting out,” Lancaster County Sheriff Terry Wagner told the TV station. “If the cat was sick enough to warrant euthanasia, then it should have been put down in a humane manner, not just left there to die.”

The cat, who is spayed and declawed, is now receiving care at a local humane society.
