Saves Cat Hit by Car During Winter Blizzard

Lucy is a very special cat. When she was only a few weeks old I found her abandoned in my front yard. It was the dead of winter—and we were in the midst of a blizzard—when I saw her, just skin and bones, lying in the snow. She had been hit by a car and was in bad shape. The roads were very icy, but I managed to drive her to the local vet. A few operations and a lot of love later, she's doing great! Lucy walks with a limp, and her growth was stunted due to early malnutrition, but we have a very special bond. She is a sweet, caring, smart, little girl—and I'm very lucky that I found her.
