Rescued a Kitten from an Abusive Home

Last July I visited a friend's house and noticed her two young daughters playing very roughly with a tiny kitten—they were basically having a tug of war with this baby, pulling at her harshly. Then I watched as one daughter picked the kitten up by the neck and tossed her across the room, slamming her against the wall! I nearly lost it. I yelled at the few adults in the house that they shouldn't have animals in the home. They proceeded to tell me the kitten's brother had been killed the day before after one of the girls jumped on him. I convinced my friend that her girls were too young and too rough to have the kitten and to let me take her home. I named her Binki and she is my little princess.
