Saved Kitten from Trash Compactor

One summer day, I was sitting around looking out my apartment window when I saw a black and white kitty crawling through the dumpster downstairs below. About a minute later the trash truck pulled up and was about to empty the garbage into its automatic compactor. I screamed out the window for them to stop and ran down three flights of stairs. Luckily, they hadn’t dumped the trash yet and I was able to coax the kitty out. The poor cat had small bloody holes all over his body, so I took him to the nearest veterinary hospital. The vet told me that the cat had been repeatedly shot with a pellet gun and most likely left for dead in the dumpster. After a few days, the little tyke was ready to leave the hospital. I took him home and named him Scrappy, because he was tossed out like scraps. He has been with me ever since.
