Saved an Iguana from Certain Death

My most unique pet would have to be Lizzy, my 4' long iguana. I found her in my front yard about two years ago. She was emaciated, brown and dehydrated—I knew she was not going to make it on her own. It is very common in this area for people to buy reptiles from the pet store, not know how to properly care for them, and eventually let them loose outdoors to fend for themselves. Many of these creatures don’t know how to survive on their own and succumb to the elements. After a bit of healing, Lizzy became quite the little character—very social and adventurous. Her favorite place to hang out is on her branch. My animals mean the world to me and Lizzy fits right in!
