Helps Foster Homeless Kittens

After our beloved cat of many years passed away, my husband and I decided to volunteer with our local Humane Society by fostering kittens.  Like most shelters, it is hard for them to house kittens until they are at least two months old and can be properly vaccinated.  I can clearly remember our first foster undertaking—a Calico mom and her eight three-week-old kittens. It was only a matter of time before we got used to packs of little furry friends climbing our furniture! Since then we have been foster parents to more than thirty cats and kittens—including three litters born in our home. While it is very hard to say goodbye, we know that we are providing them with a chance at a good life.
