"I Fought Cruelty!"

Rescued Abandoned Hunting Hounds

An ice storm was bearing down when we spotted a pack of Beagles—three adults and five puppies—in a rural Arkansas forest.  We were miles into the woods and the dogs were obviously starving. The abandonment of hunting dogs is a very serious problem in this area. Concerned animal lovers, we immediately took them to the local shelter where they were given warm shelter, food and affection. We are happy to report they were all adopted!
