Rescued a Puppy Thrown From Moving Vehicle

My daughter and I had been out riding bikes on a beautiful fall day, when a pick up truck went speeding by us. The roads were flat and bare, so you could see miles ahead. We couldn’t help but notice that when the truck was about a mile past us, something was tossed out of the drivers open window. We quickly biked to the spot and saw a little, skinny and beat up puppy. We took the pup right to the vet and while he was getting examined, I called the police station to report what had happened and to give a description of the truck. Unfortunately, the truck was never found and not much else could be done in terms of catching the animal abuser. I spent the next few weeks nursing our new pup, Thor, back to health. He fell in love with my daughter and has been her guardian angel ever since. Talk about a discarded treasure!
