When I was not home, she was in her crate. I also kept her on a leash inside the house for the first few months, so she was always near me. As she got better, I gave her more freedom. Hi my name is Sade my puppy Mittens that was only 9 weeks old past away 08/19/09 two days before my birthday wich was 08/22/09 her death could have been prevented if the Aspca would have taken her in. About 6:50pm i called saying i have a sick puppy that seems like shes about to die all the guy told me over the phone was that their about to close and that we have to take her to a 24 hour emergency room which i responded we dont have time to take her all over the place she is really sick and needs medical attention now he just responded again and said here is a 24 hour emergency room so i just hung up. My girlfriend and i were about 10 minutes away from the Aspca when we got there my girlfriend ran in by her self letting them know she has a sick 9 week old puppy in the car thats not feeling well at all and they just gave her the address to the 24 hour emergency room we went looking for it and couldnt find it so we called some other places and they were either closes didnt have a hospital or didnt answer the phone so we took her home and try to take the best care of her that we could threw out the night she was fine lying down sleeping alittle bit of food she ate and went back to sleep my girlfriend and i would get up every hour to check up on her and she was fine when we finally got up the next hour which was 7:00am to get ready to take her to the hospital she had die. So what do i do from hear i thought the Aspca was know for helping out but yet this was my birthday gift and it hurt so much to know nothing can replace her i want something done so this situation doesnt happen to anyone else....

I want harder punishment for the sick humans who hurt animals, first animals then Human Beings. They need to be put in Prison for a very long time, Or truth be told have they Arm surgically removed. I am not joking. This will prevent them from hurting ever again....
