Serena was Pet of the Week on January 27, 2012!
With her big personality, cute little face, and fat-and-fabulous figure (she’s working on it with special food!), Serena is hard to miss. That is, unless you’re looking for her at the ASPCA Adoption Center.
After more than two years in our shelter—the longest stay of any current ASPCA animal—Serena got a change of scenery. As of this week, she’s now being fostered in an office at ASPCA administrative headquarters. And though she’s not technically an employee here, she got right to work…sprawling out and napping on office furniture.
That’s just fearless Serena’s style: She comes in to a new situation and makes herself at home. A true diva, Serena craves human attention, but only on her own terms. (Seasoned cat lovers will know when Serena is interested in attention and when she isn’t.)
Passed over again and again, Serena doesn’t get the attention she deserves from would-be adopters. We think Serena is hilarious, spunky and adorable, and we’re hoping someone out there will see that, too.
If you’re an experienced cat adopter in a 14+ household, and you’d like to meet Serena, please call our Animal Placement department in New York City at (212) 876-7700, ext. 4900. She’ll be here waiting for you!
