The ASPCA excitedly welcomed Tallahassee, Florida, as our newest partner community in September 2011. The four Tallahassee partners have a proven track record of working together for the good of their community’s animals, and they’ve pledged to continue collaborating to reduce euthanasia and increase adoptions in Leon County.

The Tallahassee partners include:

Tallahassee Leon Community Animal Service Center
The Tallahassee-Leon Community Animal Service Center is operated and maintained by the city’s Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Affairs Department. It takes in approximately 10,000 homeless animals each year.

Adoption Hours:
Tuesday-Friday 10:30 A.M.-6:00 P.M.; Saturday 10:00 A.M.-4:30 P.M.; Sunday 1:00 A.M.-4:30 P.M.; Closed Monday

Leon County Humane Society
LCHS is one of Florida’s largest foster networks, maintaining hundreds of animals in foster care at a time. To view adoptable dogs, cats and rabbits in LCHS’ care and find out how to adopt, visit LCHS.info.
LCHS also houses adoptable cats at their headquarters.

Be The Solution, Inc.
Be The Solution, Inc., is devoted to ending pet overpopulation by providing vouchers to pet parents who couldn’t otherwise afford spay/neuter. Be The Solution teaches the importance of spay/neuter through outreach to city park camps and schools and from a mall storefront.
