Luna

All Play and No Work

Luna the cat

When Brittany Johnson adopted “Baron” at the ASPCA Adoption Center in New York City, she could tell right away that he felt safe and sound in her home. Now named “Luna,” this energetic cat has quickly become part of Brittany’s family. She shared the following story with us:

I adopted "Baron," now known as Luna, on September 8, 2012. When I first brought my bundle of joy home, he was far from shy! With an energetic personality, social demeanor and already litter box trained (phew!), I knew he would adapt to my family quickly.

It's been two months since Luna has been home with me, and I already see changes taking place! Though he's getting bigger and much more independent, he still shows affection in funny ways. When I speak to him, he answers in what seems to be a giggle, and we can go back and forth for hours. He follows me around the house like a puppy and then cuddles up next to me and sleeps. But don't be fooled—Luna may have a big heart, but he can be "feisty" as well.

All in all, it’s a joy having Luna in my life! From the cuddles, head butts and amazing companionship to the feisty play fights we endure together, I am more than overjoyed that I chose him! At my home, we don't refer to him as a cat but as a family member.
