ASPCA and Rachael Ray Team Up for $100K Challenge

March 1, 2012

The ASPCA is thrilled to announce that we are teaming up with television personality and bestselling author Rachael Ray for the 2012 ASPCA Rachael Ray $100K Challenge to offer more than $500,000 in prizes and save more homeless pets!

“All my life, I’ve been an advocate for animals and a supporter of animal welfare groups,” says Rachael Ray. “I have made a personal commitment to helping the millions of cats and dogs each year who find themselves in shelters and are in need of a second chance.”

The $100K Challenge is a national contest to help animal shelters across the country come up with innovative ways to engage their communities and get more homeless cats and dogs out of shelters and into loving homes.

We know what you’re saying: This is a contest for animal shelters, what can I do? Well, the answer is A LOT! And Rachael Ray and the ASPCA are counting on your help.

  • First step: Encourage your favorite animal shelter to apply. We start accepting applications on March 13.
  • Then, bring out all the stops to make sure your shelter gets selected as one of the 50 contestants during our qualifying heat on April 5.
  • Finally, adopt, adopt, adopt!

“By partnering with the ASPCA for the $100K Challenge,” says Ray, “we will help get more homeless cats and dogs out of shelters and into the loving homes they deserve.”
