Using Genetically Engineered Animals in Biomedical Research
The ASPCA has several concerns regarding the use of genetically modified animals in biomedical research. The need exists for monitoring, collecting, reporting and analyzing the welfare-related problems and adverse effects (morbidity or mortality rate, intrauterine death) of genetic manipulation.
